I was looking through the instagram page for maximas and came across this beauty. I was just wondering what kinda rims are these and what size are they? I would LOVE to get them for my max. Also any recommendations for tires for these rims will be appreciated as well.
So no one knows what type of rims or wheels those are? I think they're pretty nice as well. To be specific, I'm talking about the black colored metal thing that attaches to the hub with lug nuts that the tire is wrapped around.
Actually, as imprecise as was Mr. rablaze93's use of the term "rim', so is your assertion that his use of the term is wrong.
The word "imprecise" points to the slang term "rims" ie: you cannot have "rims" without taking the whole wheel, that is unless you physically disassemble the wheel into its various components. Try to drive on just the "rims".
You point to Wikopedia like it is the last word. Unfortunately it is not - Just a collection of thoughts with or without proper validation. What is so hard about using a global term like "wheel" over "rims" ?
What is the real problem rim or wheel! We all know what the intended item was, This is supposed to be fun lets not be critical about slang or correct. So on another part of a car would you prefer flywheel (industry term) or the correct name flex plate! they mean the same lets just have fun, education is fine but please do it ina nicer manner.
To answer your question, a "rim" is part of the wheel. Maybe you refer in your engine as a "crankshaft". No matter, I have been having fun with how the slang has undermined what is really meant. Do you have black wheels too? Or just "rims"
