Leaking Windshield Washer Fluid

What is everyone doing to fix the leak that happens where the windshield washer filler tube connects to the reservoir? I'm half tempted to remove the filler tube, doctor it up with some silicon sealant, and reinstall it.

My wife has a 2016 that has been leaking 4 times, every oil change I have the dealer fix it. The 2016 that I bought in January has only been fixed once.

Sooner or later Nissan will come out with a better design or a fix.

I ended up making the connection between the filler neck and the reservoir tighter. I'll see how it holds up next time I need to top off the fluid. It's kind of a bad design. The clip that holds the top of the filler neck down seems to pull it out of alignment, possibly contributing to the leak. I guess the designers did not intend on the washer fluid to be filled all the way to the top.

Rick, Just wondering why your wife's car has this problem frequently while on your car it was "once and done repair." I'm assuming the same dealership is looking after both cars?

Just had my wife's car in for service, and this time they replaced the washer reservoir assembly. It really is not that bad, even when it leaks, as all that leaks in the fluid in the tube, not the tank

I bought my car (19 SV) with 24,400 miles and I've noticed fluid leaking after i fill up the tank. It does seem to leak when it gets to the tube. What is going on with the tube that it leaks out? My tube does seem kind of flimsy, but I'm not sure how that could be? Is there a connection somewhere that i can tighten? It does seem to be a tight fit in there?

Yup, same here. My dealer "fixed it" too. It's a bad design with an o-ring seal between the filler tube and the reservoir. No need to change the tank. Even if it leaks, it will only leak out of the filler neck portion. I've driven it that way for a year.
