Maxima Alternator (Big 3 - car audio)
Hello,
Has anyone had to access their alternator in their 8th gen Max? I am attempting to complete a "big 3" upgrade on my car for the car audio system and am having trouble accessing the alternator. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Fr3sh

See this thread is a little dated but I did my own high output alternator installation on both my maximas, first I installed a 250A on a 2016, then more recently a 320A on a 2014....
*** Must have patience!!***
Jack passenger side, put out jack stands, remove passenger tire(front of course lol). Remove trim pieces, unhook battery negative cable ***!!!
Using a ratchet, relieve pressure on belt by pushing up on tensioner, remove belt.
Get a second jack, remove bolts from compressor but have jack underneath compressor as a safety precaution to not let compressor slip too far! Do not let a/c lines sag too far either! Just let it drop 6-8 inches!
Unbolt alternator, reinstall in reverse order!!
