What I was told before by tire experts is that if we go to a 30 series tires, it may not be sufficient to support the weight of the car. So I went with a 35 series.

 

Even 35's will bend easy, just had 245/35/20's and within 7 month's had to put the OEM's back on due to BOTH front's hitting minor potholes at moderate speed's! not even driving fast.

 

What tires were they? I've seen some members with a staggered 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear I guess they just had to be careful driving on bumps or potholes. Luckily, the area i live in isn't too bad with potholes. As for what Ragulto said, I've never heard anything about 30s not being able to hold the maximas weight

 

30'S ARE RUBBER BAND'S it doesn't mean it can't hold the weight. what that mean's is that their is not enough tire to absorb the energy from a pothole thus causing a BENT WHEEL if you're lucky like i was, Usually you end up on the side of the road with your flashers on with a blown tire.

 

Yeah definitely not trying to bend the rims lol. What is a safer option safe from rubbing at stock or even on eibachs? Would a 285/30/20 be better or 275/35/20

I know this user is own 275/30/20 in the rears, Nitto NT555, but it doesnt look to much like rubber bands. Might vary depending on tire brand?
