Roof Wrap

Seeing all the white 8th gen's with their roof's wrapped in black makes me wanna wrap mine. I have zero experience with wraps, and wanted to know how difficult it was to wrap on your own, or how much you guys paid to have it wrapped professionally.

Thanks in advance

I wrapped the roof of my old 350z with a buddy with little effort but my Maxima has a sat antenna and I didn’t trust myself doing the roof pillars so I went to a local shop. They charged 350 for the roof and 50 for each pillar.

How long does the wrap normally last and is it worth it?

They warranted mine for 5 years, but I’ve been hearing you should have them taken off around year 4. The older they get the more aggressive the adhesive gets.

Thats what im araid of too. I bought the vinyl and was going to let the shop do it for 300$. But im kinda skeptical about how itll hold up. Such a waste of money if its only going to last 3-4 years. Can you still wash/pressurewash/drivethru washes with the wrap? Will it damage the wrap?

you can pressure wash as long as you don’t get hardcore close around the lip of the wrap. As for drive through car washes I don’t know, I avoid those like at all costs 🤷*♂️

That looks awesome! The way your car looks now is what Im striving for mine to look like (black roof + black rims). Plus I'd like to get a front lip bumper from Stillen, but that's 3 bones....found an IkonSports front lip for less than half that price.

I just wish I had the funds to do so...Hopefully I can accomplish modding my car to get it similar to the way yours looks, over time....wish i was rich hahaha

Damn, for $400, you could almost pay someone to paint it. Maybe a few hundred more...I'd say under $1000 you could get a quality top painted on permanently, with like a 4 year warrantee at least.
