Maxima SR/Platinum seats are incredible

I have checked out the 2018 Honda Accord Touring and 2019 Toyota Avalon Touring. I wont even bother with the 18 Camry XSE V6. The seats are just amazing in the Maxima. The Avalon Touring seats are so disappointing. The side bolstering was pathetic at best for a $40k+ car. The Accord seats are better but still don't come close to the Max.

Right on with your comments. The value of these seats becomes more apparent as you travel long distances. The quilted design and quality of the leather is another critical differentiator. I treat mine every 6 months with Lexol and the leather is now much softer, yet no wear in 36,000 miles.

No doubt...I agree regarding the comfort of the seats. It really stands out when you drive something else and then hop back into the Max. The whole interior is awesome. The integrated 8" screen is so much better than those "tombstone" displays.

I just hate the "Tombstone displays" now rampant on Toyota, Hyundai, Honda, Audi, brands. Our Maxima integrated screens angled to the driver aspect just looks so right as well as being easy to scan.

I just had an Altima SV rental for 3 days and was surprised how cheap and basic it felt. I've also test-driven an A4 and a Stinger GT2 and I wasn't blown away by their interiors and front seats compared to my Maxima.

You have my attention! I am wanting to check out the Stinger GT2 myself and from videos/pics the seats look incredibly comfortable. Looks like it also has more side bolstering then the Maxima as well being adjustable. The Max has better seats?!?!? Or about the same you think? Also the interior was not impressive in the GT2?!?! Even that looks high quality in video/pics as well.

All worthy points to consider. Nissan should add a power lumbar support for the passenger seat to complement the recently added power up and down adjustments for the Platinum.
I rented a Kia Optima and think it is a credible effort yet my passengers would ask WTF is this thing! The Stinger name is just too boy racer for me.

I'd rate the seats about the same, though I didn't spend enough time in the Kia to have a confident opinion. I didn't like how it was really dark inside. The back window is tiny, and the back side windows are tiny, so the rear seat passengers are practically in a cave. Also, the screen is mounted on a dashboard and NOT tilted to the driver, so, whatever its actual size, it appears considerably smaller to the driver than the Maxima screen.

I don't know why I never noticed in the GT2 until now. Plastic is behind the front seats. Whats up with that? Cost cutting? Did you find it more cramped in the back compared to the Maxima? One thing about the Maxima is I wished it had as much space as the Altima inside.

Was in a Stinger last weekend..I can tell you there is a lot of room in the back seat. Crushes the max there...and more than the Altima for sure....If the actual numbers say different, I would be shocked
