Yesterday I noticed red/green traffic lines on my GPS on the way home from work. I've never seen these and I don't have the Sirius XM traffic package for the GPS unit. I used the GPS and it functions exactly like I would expect it to if I had the traffic package. Not that I'm complaining, but I'm curious to know if this has happened to anyone before or if anyone knows why it randomly started?

 

 

SiriusXM is free right now for awhile, to entice nonsubscribers to sign up. Usually happens around the holidays where you get eveyrthing free that you don't already have. Could be it, I keep hearing about free this and that on Sirius all morning.

Traffic is at an "additional" cost to a regular subscription. I found it useful going back and forth to work and on trips. Since I basically do neither now, I dropped the "Traffic" part.
