Honda dealer trolling with offer for Maxima
$19k with a little less then 13k miles on it and 3 months away from being 2 years old. Bought brand new at the time. It also has some oem accessories. Said they would send it straight to auction. Resale is bad on this car but not that bad. Needless to say. We walked away. I have seen used low mileage like ours going for $27k easily or a bit more.

Dealers don't pay anyway near what they should but you are there and they make it a fluid proposition for your ram job. This is one of the reasons I have always leased since the residual value always seems to be more that it would be on a trade in. It is incumbent on you though to negotiate the best purchase price (purchase or lease) to lessen the sting of that 1st year depreciation. In that sense the MSRP is almost meaningless so all that snorting about sticker price doesn't paint a true piture of actual costs.
Was looking at an Infinity 2019 with a 58K sticker, new, yet they were offering a 449 lease with 5 K down. Go figure how that happens?

We might be getting a 2019 Honda Passport Elite on Monday/Tuesday. I will find out then if we can make a deal. This is our local dealer we have bought 7 brand new cars from them over the years.
