Dent removal(paintless)

Gotta dent. I opened the door and slammed into sigh post. At first i didn’t notice anything because the car was dirty but after car wash it showed up because of a uneven reflection.

Anyone used paintless dent removal services?

Yep, I have several times with great results. Get a good PDR guy and he will be able to make that look like new... hardest part is the fact that it is a black car, but a guy will experience can work magic.

Yep ... I’m on a first-name basis with my guy and have him on speed-dial.

He’s a true craftsman.

Find someone with good reviews/referrals.

it looks like it touching the crease but it’s not. It’s the paint. I imagine if it was right on the rib it would be harder.

I have google a few PDRs and I have schedule appointment with the guy named The Dent Terminator! (Sound promising)

He’s got 90 reviews and all of them 5 stars.

He said it will cost around 125-175. Not the cheapest but what gives.. seems like he knows what he’s doing.

all other PDRs I talked to couldn’t say anything promising. One guy said he would need to drill a whole to pull it out.

I have watched a few clips on YouTube and one guy on Subaru had similar dent. He contacted local PDR and removed interior door panel because PDR did it from inside the door.

You would be surprised with what an experience PDR guy can do. As you pointed out, being able to access through the inside door means there is more chance for a success. If he gets it out, the price is very good. Assuming the paint surface has not been broken.

Unfortunately it has primer showing two little white spots.

I did slam it pretty good.

If you have slammed and broken the clear coat and base coat, down to the primer it is going to possibly require some intentional paint removal, some body cream, sanding, priming, base coating, and final clear coating anyway. You might as well see a good body shop pro to get the kind of repair that is flawless. If it is just a dent (not a real sharp crease) and paint and top coat are intact then the dentless repair is the way to go. Story: One week after my new college graduate daughter bought her first new car (1999 black pontiac Grand Am), the thing was pelted during hail storm. There were over 85 pock marks all over the metal body and trim. Most body shops quoted thousands to pull out and/or bondo all those dents, and totally repaint the car. Going dentless repair was less than $1000 U.S. and, except for the metal trim (from which dents can't be "spooned out") you could not tell the car had even been in a hail storm.

I always try my best to park as far away from everyone as possible. Nonetheless, some jerk slammed their door right into me leaving not only a big dent, but also some paint transfer.

brought it to a local guy and 45 minutes later... he fixed it up as good as new for just $150. I was a bit skeptical it would work because the dent was right along the character line, but it came out perfect!
