ICC system warning (Orange Light)

My 2017 Nissan Maxima was involved in fender bender in which part of my front bumper cover came loose. After the repairs, the ICC system warning light flashing orange, the car slows down then the cruise control shuts off. This happens regardless of if there are any cars in front of me. The body shop has not idea what they are doing and took it to a Nissan dealer for repairs. The dealership replaced the ICC unit, and the problem persists. I'm taking it to a different Nissan dealership to get a second set of eyes on the problem.

Has anyone had this issue?

How long does it take your ICC to shut itself off after you turn it on and set the speed. If its right away I would guess that there is an object in front of the sensor left over from the repair that is being detected and the ICC thinks it is a car in front of you. Of course Im only guessing as I don't have ICC.

The ICC may shut down as soon as it is engaged or it may work fine about a mile or so. Goes off regardless of there are any cars on the road. The second Nissan dealer removed the bumper cover to see if there were any obstructions. They couldn't fix it either. They are escalating the issue to Nissan Corporate to see if there is any additional troubleshooting.

Chime in if anyone has had this "ICC system warning light" as a chronic problem.

I'm sure they will find the answer. Also wondering if others have this problem in clear weather. Not sure it is a rampant issue. I have seen this light when there is sleet covering the front end after highway driving on my early build 2016 Maxima Platinum. Solution was to remove the sleet crust and it would clear the error. I have not had this problem with with my 2019 Platinum but Nissan did finally create a fall back position in that the cruise control can be engaged without the ICC function.
