2019 Maxima Radio on 2016

Hi everyone!
I was looking to swap the radio on my 2016 Maxima SV to one off a newer Maxima for Apple Carplay support. I was on https://maxima.org/forums/8th-genera...carplay-5.html which was extremely helpful. Though I can't seem to find anything involving 2019 Maxima radio units. The '19 Maximas have the updated Nissan Connect system which has a nicer UI. Would anyone know if I can stick a 2019 Maxima SV radio on my 2016 like I can easily with a 2017 or 2018 Maxima SV's radio?

Hey there looks like there is an easier way. There's a company called Xanavi that dropped an update that you load using the SD card slot. Its $300 and everything I've seen it looks like the real deal. Someone posted about it in a thread a few down. I found this video as well from someone who tried it in their Murano. Here is their website https://xanavi.net/

I feel confident enough in this that if I was still in my 16 Maxima I would absolutely be on this. We already know the USB port links to the head unit so it makes sense it is literally just software and this looks like it is ultimately super easy to do.

That's very cool, but it doesn't appear that they have a Maxima option that you can add to your cart on their web site.

I would hit there about page and contacts and reach out to them. I think it is just a website bug that you can't add the Maxima.

Or
Check out this thread on this forum and look at post #14. That's the post that keyed me in on this. Maybe you can contact the poster but I think ultimately its just a matter of you contacting this group over Whatsapp.

A slick implementation, but this does involve taking a leap of faith with something produced by software developers in Estonia. Without the source available I'd be concerned about potential malware being loaded onto phones when they're connected to the head unit.

Although connectors look same, they could have different pinout. Okey, Thanks
