Anyone ever use a Battery Booster pack?

I've got a 2016 Platinum and am thinking about getting a Noco Genius GB 40 battery booster pack ... On sale for Prime Day.

It's a 1000 amp Lithium ion battery booster. Sounds like it would be a handy device. Supposed to be good for gas engines up to 6.0l.

Or would I be better off spending a bit more and getting it's bigger brother, the 2000 amp GB70? Thinking in the winter conditions I live in (Winnipeg, Canada), I might benefit from the extra power if I need it.

Looking for any opinions in whether these are any good, as I've never used one.

They do work. I have a different model purchased from Costco a couple of years ago. I started my Ram truck twice on a single charge for a test. Then of course my truck starts right up with minimal cranking needed. I purchased it for on the road security, but have never needed it. In fact thinking about it I have never had to use a jump start in 50 years of driving, provided a few through. How often do you think you will need it then decide on how much money you want to spend.

I wonder how long it will hold a charge...It's like having a spare tire in the trunk, but forgetting to ever check the tire pressure for 4 years, and the first time you go to need it it is flat. I suppose if you remember to pull it out of the car and charge it once or twice a year...

Like Richardd 66, I carry the Costco booster air pump combo unit in the trunk when we are doing road trips. So far I have been able to help 2 other drivers out but have not needed it myself. I do recharge the booster unit about every 8 weeks just to be sure. Great piece of mind and worth the extra weight , also have a can of Flat Fix right beside it.
