Looking to buy new rims

I had asked this a few months ago. Just wanted to find out if anyone since then has any experience with putting a set of 20" infiniti red sport awd wheels on their maxima? Also I found a steal on a set of red sports but they are staggered. 9.5 in the rear instead of 9. Do you think that would make a huge difference and possibly have rubbing issues, other than not being able to rotate the tires?

I would be really scared driving around on 20's in the Maxima.
Based on my experience with 19's, that's the highest I'd go (weight and such).

All depends on the offset of the wheels and the size of the tires. If you like the wheels and they “fit” you can always swap out the tires to make sure it’s within the overall ratio. Usually when running 20’s you’ll have a 35 series side wall tire. My own personal issue I see with this setup is the staggered fitment. I had a staggered setup on my 7th gen and it was my daily. So I had lots of miles on it and no way to rotate those tires. But overall 20’s are fine. That’s like the norm that guys are running on this site. Hell I have 22’s on mine and it’s like people can’t fathom the reason WHY someone would do that. 🙄😂

because it puts strain on your transmission and other parts. Talk to me when your car gets up in miles.
replacing one thing without upgrading other parts like brakes, brake lines, suspension parts - especially when it's unsprung weight - is bad for cars.
But most "guys on this site" aren't auto/mechanical engineers.

Sooooooooo the midnight edition that comes with STOCK 20’s is putting strain on things? Even though the “mechanical engineers” offer it as an option??? 🤔 Which in return they don’t tell you that you need to upgrade anything else such as suspension or tranny!?!?! And I’m not talking bout guys that like to wear dresses either. 🤔 And unsprung weight... we can go back and forth on that all day. For example expensive light weight wheels that weigh less than stocks.... 🤔 Hell even my 22’s weigh less than my stock wheels. AND with the tires I have I’m within the same overall ratio as a stock set up. Sooooo when buying or selling a car should the sales people ask if you’re going to be toting around 2 fat chicks all the time or if your family is on the LARGER side because then you’re going to need to upgrade that suspension and tranny and breaks for all that unsprung weight. Now I could see if someone is slapping on some 24’s with some big a$$ 40in mudders or something ridiculous then yea... you’re going to need some upgrades my friend. So for a stock SR that comes with 19’s and wanting to upgrade to a 20.... especially when a 20 is offered from the dealership as an option... I think you’ll be ok. I mean a lot of it is “common sense” BUT!!! As they say, you can’t teach common sense 🤷🏻*♂️ And my SR has 60k on it and have been riding 22’s since new and have not had one single problem. While others on here have newer with less miles and tons of problems. Luck of the draw and you don’t need to be an auto mechanical engineer for **** to go south regardless of what “guys on this site” occupation is. 😉
