2017 SR Drivers Window going up crooked
Recently my drivers window immediately tilts forward a bit as it start its ascent upwards, sometimes it so crooked, the top cant re-seat itself and a gap is present when closed. I can rock it by hand to get it sealed but something has changed. Anyone else had this issue? I pulled the door panel aaprt and I do not see anythng glaringly wrong.
Are you still under warranty? If not that sucks. This is likely the window actuator that is miss-aligned or broken. It's the set of arms that push the window up and down. Not a particularly easy job on most cars. I have replaced a window motor on a car once was a bit of work. 6 months later the actuator snapped and dropped the window inside the door. At that point I just took it in. Motor was fine, and reused, they had to replace the actuator. Several years ago that was a $500 job.
Also check the rubber lining on the drivers window door frame. My 2016 did this same exact thing and they figured out that during the last winter the window froze to the channel liner at the very front and top of the drivers door channel. Anyway that pulled the channel liner loose and the door glass started going outside the channel rubber when the window was raised to its closed position. This created a big bind that would not allow the door glass to close that last 3/4 of an inch. I reglued the door channel rubber insert and it helped for awhile before I traded the car off for a 2019
Is there anybody who has solved this issue? I also have a crooked window situation on a 2018 Maxima. I have tried replacing the window regulator with a brand new one from Nissan, however the window still goes up crooked.
its gonna be in the regulator which is most likely cable driven
if you remove the door panel which is easy, then roll the window down half way and grab the bottom of the window and rock it back and forth and you should be able to see where its worn at

moving the glass by hand will show whats loose
