Fog Light Condensation after LED instal: Has a resounding, unilateral fix been found?

I've read a lot of the previous threads and nothing seemed to be super definitive. People said silicone, drilling holes, double gaskets, etc. Other people who have done those fixes also reported it didn't work for them. When replacing the fog light with LEDs:
  • Does this issue affect everyone or just a minority?
  • What (if any) is the guaranteed sure bet fix.

Planning on install Diode Dynamics XP80 fogs and now I'm super paranoid.

I'm on the same boat. Installed my LED and got condensation within 2-3 days. At this point, used fog lights for $40-60 on Ebay is probably the way to go for me.

Electrical tape worked wonders for me. No condensation since.

Would you be able to help the Max community with details on how you did it or provide pictures? You also wouldn't remember what lights you're running, would you? Thanks!! 😊

Sorry no pictures but its really easy. I literally just put electrical tape around the light bulb gasket just enough for a nice tight snug fit.
