Looks like one of those gizmos that insurance companies give you to plug into the OBD2 port to capture your driving habits, in return for a possible premium reduction.

Can you provide us with a photo of the bottom of the object and dimensions. This really has my curiosity going, and yeah, I think Rick might be getting "hotter".

Thank you for the info. Sounds hard to believe but who knows. Part of me thinks it records your driving habits so if you blow your tranny on the track doing 110 mph at 6500 RPM they can deny your warranty. Or if you crash on the street driving foolishly and hurt somebody they can capture the data to hang you in court. I may leave it in my dresser drawer. Does anybody else have this thing plugged in?

That “device” is laugh out loud funny. There is one for sale on eBay for $260. Said it was purchased new for $500. Lol.

Active corrosion protection...LOL

Seriously?!!! This is such snake oil if the product has truly changed from the "black box" and wires shown in the video to an OBDII style gizmo.

Dealers are free to install and sell aftermarket items and accessories, which they do all the time, for enormous profits.

If you are asking if the Nissan factory put that in...no they did not. This is not a factory approved option.
