Rear speaker not working!!

I just bought a 17’ Maxima Platinum and it has the Bose audio system and when I’m playing any kind of music it’s only using the front speakers and the speakers on the rear door but not the speakers located all the way in the back. I was wondering has anyone had any issue?

• Nothing on the car is aftermarket head unit. Speakers everything is stock.
• I’ve checked my fader settings, everything is fine.
• No, I don’t use any XM music, just normal Bluetooth audio or radio.
• Please don’t mention ‘go to your dealer’ or anything regarding warranty I just need raw opinions.

You didn't mention it, are the speakers connected? There could be a broken wire somewhere in the run,

After this many years of cargo hauling, it could be a pulled wire (s). If that checks out, then the rear amp might also have a fault or need to be regrounded. Seems like a good stereo shop might be a possible place to get ideas. Let us know what you learn.

Look inside your trunk for any obvious problems.

The rear deck speakers in a '17 Maxima with the Bose system are not full range speakers, they are "woofers" for the system. You didn't mention what your bass setting is, or what type of music you are listening to. Those could affect the rear deck speaker output.

In addition, because the Bose system is inherently weak, the higher the volume, the proportion of signal going to the woofers is decreased. So if you are checking them at high volumes, it may seem like there is little output.

If something really is wrong with your system, it could be the wiring, the head unit, the amp (there is no "rear" amp, there is just one that powers all of the speakers), or the rear deck speakers.
