Fog light became dislodged after <5mph bump...

My car was parked. Other car (I was in as a passenger) was slowly backing up via rearview camera (his car new VW). I didn't even feel it, but he tapped my front bumper. We couldn't see any damage but later when I got home I noticed the foglight was pushed back out of bumper opening. No other damage. Of course the friend is telling me to fix it and send him the bill, but I wanted to check here first (also YouTube).

To access that part, do I need any special tools? Also, no floor jack... do I need to get the car up on the jack in the trunk? As you can probably tell by my questions, this is not my wheelhouse. lol.

No jack, no special tools.. take off the bottom covers , some from the front fender liner.. and about 30 min of your time.. its tight under there, but it not hard.. You DO NOT need to remove the bumper..

One of the funnier quotes I've read on this site.

Update: I took it to my mechanic, who couldn't fix it so he referred me to body shop... Luckily, there was NOTHING broken... just dislodged. It cost $150 (labor), no parts.

Fine mechanic ya' got there. :-) Glad the body shop guy got it fixed. Pretty pricey, though, for a "dislodge", but hey!

Probably a good spend for 150 bucks to get it remounted as the front end probably had to be removed to get it done right. Glad you are back in business.
