How do you check the transmission fluid level? When I replaced my radiator, some transmission fluid came out.

 

Using the Search feature of this forum I found this:

5.5 Gen w/auto transmission: I need help identifying which of these transmission fluid lines is the OUT / HOT side. I want to empty the old fluid as I refill with the new. The top line (RED) runs to the driver's side bottom of radiator. The bottom line (BLUE) runs crossways to the passenger's side bottom of radiator. Many thanks!
