Michelin - Pilot Sport All Season 4

Time for new tires on '17 Max SL at 45,000 mi., actually probably could go another 10,000+ but one of the tires is waa, waa, waa'ing. Costco has a sub $800 price on a set. Anyone running these? I do like the Conti's but my rims stick out farther than the sidewalls, so I promised myself I would find a tire with more rim protection.

Thanks,

I just changed tires on my Maxima 17 Platinum. After much research I went for Continental Extreme contact DWS 06 plus. Michelin are very good but where I live these Continental perform better in rain and snow. Nissan dealer had a deal on tires buy 3 one free. I don't think Costco carries Continental.

I bought a set of General Tire G-MAX AS-05 a few weeks ago since they reviewed well and weren't super expensive. Cost me $723.96 installed before tax and they have a $70 rebate though 4/30/22.

Thanks. I've had good results from General Altimax in the past. Do the rims inset a bit to protect them? The Conti's leave those rims very exposed.

To be honest, my rims had enough dings on them where I didn't really think about that. Don't know if you can tell from the picture, but it seems like the tire extends a bit out from the rim:

From the photo, looks like little protection, like the OEM Conti's.

After my research I decided on a set of Goodyear Integrity. They seem wider than my old Conti's. Have only had them for week in the dry and they seem just as good as the Conti's were when they were new. They really grip in the corners. They are also very quiet and smooth. Had very good reviews. Believe it or not I paid $117 ea. for them. With mounting, balancing, new stems, lifetime rotation and balance, road hazard package, and tax they were a little over $600! Way over a grand out the door for Conti's with the same bells and whistles. Had 'em done at Walmart. In and out in 35 minutes.
