Question 2016 SL - Battery and Alternator

From experience, I can say I've had bad ones with previously owning 4 Maximas. Most recently a 2005 where the battery and alternator were replaced only to figure out that the negative battery cable was the major issue.
However, I now want to trade in my 2017 Altima 2.5 SR for a 2016 Maxima SL because I hate the Altima, sincerely. Just not the same at all. Especially the SR versus a Platinum or SL Maxima. I digress...

I want to get ahead of the game and honestly replace the Alternator and Battery right away. Because I know those will be an issue. But using OEM parts.

Except I am having trouble finding an OEM battery? The part number 999M1-NCH5C coming back for a 2016 Maxima are all discontinued. What did you guys buy? I'm also in Canada making it even more difficult to find a proper OEM battery for the vehicle.

As for the Alternator, 2310M-JA11RRW comes back around $700CAD. This is just the part alone lol. Insane. Your thoughts?

Are you aware that Nissan Motor Company does not manufacture 12 volt automotive batteries?

There is no such thing as an OEM battery. Go WalMart. I own 2017 Max SL with 75,000 trouble-free miles.

I can certainly appreciate using an OEM alternator after some of the reports people have shared here, but I wouldn't be too concerned about tracking down an OEM battery. I've been using Walmart Everstart Maxx batteries in my cars for 20+ years and have had good luck with them. I've had a Everstart Maxx MAXX-35N in my 2016 SV for 2+ years now with no issues.
