I would like to throw in my 2 cents regarding creaking and poping noises in the hopes that someone will benefit from it.
I read all there was to read on the forums before I installed my Ksports in November and I had a quiet install the first time. I did not use any grease or do anything other than install the componenets properly and make sure the collars were as tight as I could get them.
A few months later after everything settled (still no noise) I loosened all the collars to remove any preload and adjust ride height. Then I took it in for a re-alignment (which it needed). A few days later I was getting the creaks and pops that so many others had been complaining about. I checked the alignment bolts and they were all still very tight. I loosened all of the collars and found all but one to loosen easier than I expected them to. The difference between the initial install and when I adjusted is that everything was clean for the initial install. When I adjusted there was dirt and grime from the road that I did not clean off. I know that makeing sure the collars are clean is one of the things to check when you have creaks, but I hadn't had any yet. This time I cleaned all of the collar mating surfaces with a towel - no water, grease or other chemicals. When I put it all back together it was completely quiet, just like the initial install.
I'm not sure where the idea of using grease came from, but if it does make things quieter, then perhaps it is more of a bandaid than a fix. In most cases, creaks and pops are probably coming from the collars - either because they are dirty, not tight enough or both.

Totally remove the lower mount and collars and put them back together. See if that helps you with the height.
It sounds strange, but it worked for me. Granted, the car is still 0.5" lower than an H&R drop...

You can drive on bad axles as long as you can stand the noise, really. You'll have gone clinically insane long before anything bad happens.
Worst-case scenario, you might get a little torque steer and a weird pull to one side, but you can drive on it.

I still have a noise comming from the rear right KSport. I hear a quick thump noise when I go over a bump. It also happens when I take a left turn on to a hill/driveway. It's a loud thump and very noticeable. Sounds like the spring is bottoming out. It happens with preload or without preload. With the shock on full hardness or softness. I took the sub box out of my trunk and it still does it. It feels more like the back right side of the car has something wrong with it. All the collars are tight.

Are you getting any excess bounce from that side? Next time you go over a bump evenly on both sides, pay close attention to see if you feel both sides of the car move up and down the same way when the rear wheels hit the bump.

Nooob, please Help!!!
Hey guys, i just got a Ksport coilovers and I dun have ani experience on it. I need to make something clear, before i install it in.
1) What the setting yu guys set on the camber plates??? There like bunch of measuring lines, but no numbers. And i dun kno what to set before i install it in.
2) Second is it oke if the is the setting of the dampening is not equally to each other. Probably not right? But there isnt a number to yu to set except a lil twisty stick thingy, and with no numbers. Question is how am i suppose to kno what exact to set to make it equally to each other
Hopefully this is not some stupid questions, am just trying to make sure everything is right before i install.

I'll try to answer your questions.
1. For the camber plates, just set it to right about in the middle for install. This can be changed easily and will be when you get the car aligned. You can kind of eyeball it after you get them installed too. But just set them in the middle for the time being.
2. It is not extremely important that you have to have each dampening setting exact. It really doesn't matter. Just go by how many full turns or half turns on your dampener adjuster. That will get you close enough.
Hope that helps, good luck with the install.

i'd liek to add that today i went to the track and set all the struts to full hard. i drove it on the way back home and was in love all over again. almost felt like the difference between when i had stock suspension and then installed the ksports.
just goes to show how much i've forgotten about the feel of stock suspension.
i need to tinker with different settings between the front and the back.
pics of my drop. still need to pull down the rear about another 1/2inch. we'll do a photo shot this weekend and clear her up and put the center caps back on. and thanks! to choray911 that help me get this done right.

Looking very nice Poowill!!!!!!!!!!!!
What size tires are those? And how many inches is the top, outside of the wheel well from the ground? Mine is like 24.5-75 inches in the front and 25 inches in the back. I can't remember exactly though. Could you measure your car for me if you understand what I'm talking about?

They are 235/40/18's.
The drop exactly 25" in front, and 25.5" in the back.

It just wont freaken budge...any ideas? I placed a picture of what I'm talking about below boxed in red so you guys will understand. (the pic. is not ksport coilovers for the max, just pulled it off the web so i could show you guys what im talking about). Thanks

You can take a flat head screw driver and place it on one of the notches, then take a hammer to the butt of the screw driver. Make sure you're turning in the right way. You will be turning it counterclockwise.
Or you can use the wrench provided and hit the handle with a hammer to get more force.
You can do either of these to methods to get them tight as well.
Hope this helps!
I didn't want to sit here and take a week to go through 27 pages of this forum so hopefully someone can help me out with my questions.
-Where can I get these k-sport lowring springs the cheapest?
-Is it possible to install them yourself if not how much would it cost to install them?
-After installation would I be able to lower and higher the car at anytime?
-What is a good "inch" drop for the front and back?
mmmm, I think thats it. LOL sorry, If anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

First off, the car looks SICK!!!!! The drop was the finishing touch. The popping sound is probably the collar issue that you have heard so much about. The car is safe to drive so don't sweat that, next time you chk on the coilover just give the collars a little tap with a skrew driver/hammer to tighten it down. About the collar on the rears, make sure that you are going counterclock wise, don't go by my arrows. I hope this helps......Damn the Max looks good

Damn Stillen Front Lip will be mangled in hours tho.
