something isn't right. either your guy didn't know what he was doing (a print out of your numbers would disprove this), your lca bushings are really really bad (i think you would've know this already by your cars scary handling), or your car has been in a accident.

chillin014, if your control arm bushings are toasted, your alignment is meaningless. Replace them, get another alignment, and then see what's up.

All you guys with Ksports REEEEEEAALLY should get SFC's....they help just about everything....even stage 1 alone is worth it IMO.

Subframe connectors. Even though our cars don't really have subframes to begin with that's become the generally accepted term for underbody chassis bracing/reinforcement.

1. Exactly ZERO spring preload. That means the lower spring perch is JUST high enough to keep the top of the spring in contact with the top hat. No more, no less.

2. Go EASY on them until they warm up. Seriously, drive like a granny and dodge bumps for the first 5-10 minutes (the colder, the longer) every time you set out from a cold start.

3. Get your damper settings right. Go out and drive on them, tweaking as you go, until you find the right settings all around that minimize bouncing.

4. Don't be stupid. Avoid big bumps, potholes, and rough sections of pavement. And please, please do not be one of those douchebags who thinks speed bumps aren't so bad if you just hit them at a high enough speed.

Yea, there are many reasons why you have to go over speed bumps slow.

He means that with the coilover off the car and fully uncompressed, the preload should be adjusted so the spring is touching both the top and the bottom "perches" but not compressed at all. You adjust the preload by moving the bottom "perch" along the sleeved body of the coilover, for a better explanation check out page 1.

/OT. Sorry d00d.

Alright, after one year and about 10~12K miles on ksports, I got fed up with the way the car handled. I finally got off my lazy **** and took off my RSB. And behold! The ride quality and handling significantly improved! The rear struts are finally doing their job.

what was wrong with your handling and how did removing the rear sway bar change anything.

He basically summed it up. I knew there was something wrong w/ the way the car handled when the coilovers went on a year ago. I was just too lazy to do anything about it. Now I regret waiting since it probably unnecessarily contributed to increased tire and strut wear in the rear.

Which kit are you guys having problems with? I know ksport has 6 applications for our cars. I think the Kontrol Pro is their base line up. Does anyone have their GT Pro series?

I think it's a safe bet that everyone's talking about Kontrol Pros. I haven't heard of a single person buying GT Pros...

I was kinda interested in those. You think they have better dampers than the kontrol pros? I wonder if anyones been daring enough to try the version rr. I had ksports a couple of months ago and they were great but I sold them to catch up on some bills. Now that I'm all caught up I am looking at them again but I'm hearing way too many stories about kontrol pros leaking. I'll have to do some research to see if I can find people who got them. They are a step above the kontrol pros so I would think their dampers are better built.

I'd honestly have a hard time paying more for another set of Ksports when there are other options that are similarly priced... especially since these other Ksport models have yet to be reviewed by anyone from this community.

I'm not sure if the GT Pro is significantly tougher than the Kontrol Pro, but the Version RR should be way tougher.

Plus, keep in mind that we have yet to see the effects of Ksport's switch to that new oil seal manufacturer. Almost everyone who's reported blown dampers has had their coilovers for long enough that they probably had the old seals.

Yes, we do. I would start by reading the thread.

Almost all the posts dealing with installation either are really long or have bolded sections of text in them, so just skim for those kinds of posts and you'll find plenty.
