i just got off the phone with Ksport and they said that the softer spring rates will not make the shocks to last longer, he said the softer springs might cause the shocks to blow quicker because the springs will let the shock go through more motion

How about you spend YOUR money on a suspension that's better. You got G4 Coilovers, NEX & JIC's. All 3 better than k-sports

First off, You sound STUPID. Because K-sports are on Ebay, Tein SS are on ebay, Tein Basics are on Ebay. LOL. So you got a ebay part on your car dumbass.

Secondly, the company put those coilovers on ebay to get sales from people who dont know about Japan Import. I can see your not into rwd, jdm etc.. Nex Coilovers actually ride better than K-sports. Thats the funny thing about it. So who feels dumb? Stay with your garbage k-sports. On nycmaximas.org is a review of both G4 Coilovers and Nex coilovers, just decided not to put on here because people like you swear you know everything. You know $h*t, so go play in it.

G4 coilovers is based off D2's & K-sports, but with better quality materials/parts. You my friend know NOTHING. Just like how K-sports & D2's are supposedly the same, but D2's cost more. G4 Coilovers cost more for a reason. maxima.org is a joke now a days. Same people on .org said VQ30DE-T engine couldnt be put in a maxima, and surprisingly my boy has it in his A32 maxima fully functional, workn and boosted. If a "OG" doesnt post something up new for the maxima, then noone jump's on it.This site is a joke.

I bet if one the "OG's" bought nex coilovers, and said "OH,these coilovers ride great', you'd be the next one copp'n them. Hop off people's meat, and get a mind of your own. kthnxbye

First off I dont like to get anything of Eghey that has a vital roll in my protection....there is a reason its on Eghey and its not to get better sales.
Secondly, the company put those coilovers on ebay to get sales from people who dont know about Japan Import. I can see your not into rwd, jdm etc.. Nex Coilovers actually ride better than K-sports. How do you know Jack about ME....Are you ME...Do you know what I think? Are you MY best friend? No, so how in the Hell do you know for a fact I dont like RWD, JDM ect?

How about instead of stating supposed "reviews" you post them....You though only want to run your mouth and come into a thread dealing with "just" Ksports....You just wanted to start a fight....

G4 coilovers is based off D2's & K-sports, but with better quality materials/parts. You my friend know NOTHING. Just like how K-sports & D2's are supposedly the same, but D2's cost more. All COs are basically the same design....They are all designed to give better handling and to give the user the ability to set ride height, stiffness,ect....So technically K sports are based off other older CO styles...

And I didnt even have K sports first...I had AGXs and Sprints...but they must suck because I bet YOU dont like them... I decided on K sports because of this thread....do the G4, Nex, ect CO threads on NYC have 60ish pages to them?

Oh and just because someone "says" something cant be done doesnt mean its impossible....This thread doenst have anything to do with engine swaps, break swaps, it has to do with one specific CO...

I bet if one the "OG's" bought nex coilovers, and said "OH,these coilovers ride great', you'd be the next one copp'n them. Hop off people's meat, and get a mind of your own. kthnxbye
You really think calling me gay or think just because I happen to like one style of CO over another means I just do as others say? You are a fuc*ing joke...I mean seriously did someone touch you as a little tieck to make you this angry over something I said on the Interwebs?

You just make me laugh with comments like that...

1. This is your one and only warning. Another inflammatory post like this will result in you taking a vacation from the site.
2. Your opinion is completely unfounded and you have no valid comments here other than calling people names. Only people who don't have a solid arguement have to resort to ish like that. Grow up.

Mine are pretty much noiseless other than the random shift when reversing and moving the steering wheel all the way to one side...

Well, After a little over a year, I have a blown shock. Car feels dangerous on the highway. When I hit consecutive small cracks in the road the car feels like it's going to bounce out of control. I'm moving on from the ksport world for now.

What exactly does this part do? I know its the bottom peice, but off hand I dont remember its function. Its a hollow tube; is it used to stop threaded strut movement in the lower mount?

It isn't about quality of parts, its about VALVING. Those Nex coilovers are the same **** megan churns out, the design is sub-par at best. This is the kind of ignorance you can expect to find at these companies, this was taking off another forum by a reputable poster:

NEX huh.

Well. I have never used these coil overs. I do not know a single person who has used these coil overs.

But... At sema, i got to meet "golden apple corp" (http://www.1goldenapple.com). I was intrigued by their coil overs only because the strut/upright body was hexigonal. I asked them about the coil over kits. The first questions i asked was: "what type of valving do these employ?"

GAC:" I dont understand"
ME: "You know, the valving, to adjust the dampening, what type of valve is used"
GAC:" I dont know, maybe if you leave your card I can have one of our "tech guys" get in touch with you."

A couple days go by, i get a phone call:
Me:"Hi, rpsport, john how can i help?"
GAC:"Hi i was just following up with you from sema"
Me:" Oh awesome, so?"
GAC:"So, we just wanted to see how many coil overs you want to buy.."
Me:"Err no, i think i wanted to know how they were build first, so what type of valving do they employ?"
GAC:"Um.. i dont know, hold on, let me talk to the tech guy.."

I spend close to 20mins on hold.

Finally.
GAC:"The tech guy said you dont know what you are talking about, they dont use valves."

So... you really want nex's?

Im guessing they are probably purchased from one of the hundreads of chinese manufactures making "performance parts", repackaged and resold.
KSport, D2, G4, all of these use off the shelf chinese parts that are slapped together. Call up these companies and ask for a shock dyno and see what they say

Its a shame that the A32 doesn't have any options other than the JICs, which are the only ones I would EVER rock on my car, unless of course I can find a way to rock the Tein SS off the 5th gens...

Yeah, a shock dyno is testing the dampener, I think.

g4nismo, it has something to do with keeping the shock in the mount. kind of like the upper collar holds it in tight, I guess this holds it in tight too.

You know what?! This is where my clicking is coming from! I get a lot of clicking. So I tighten the lowest orange collar, and it goes away for about a week. Then it comes back. I bet that if I tightened both, it would go away. Only having one tight still gives it 'wiggle room', thus, it comes loose...Ill have to try this, it may solve our clicking.

yeh, i wouldn't be surprised if that was it cause the passenger is making no noises what so ever.

I have a quick question about k sports. I have them installed on my car and I was adjusting the ride height tonight. I have 18 inch rims and I adjusted the coilovers so there is no wheel gap. It just looks to me like they are adjusted way to low but I really dont know whats right and whats wrong when it comes to these things.

Also what should the stiffness of the shock be set to?

Whats the preload?

Reppin the sunshine state

Preload, little to none.

Stiffness, full soft(if youre struts arent blown).

What is that at your upper mount?

If you want to learn more on the subject, I am not the one to tell you as my knowledge is very limited compared to some very established individuals...

READ is my best response, wish I did before I bought Tokicos, now I am drooling over Konis

Try here for starters: http://farnorthracing.com/autocross_secrets6.html

Edit: Please do actually read the entire thing, trust me You probably will look at your Ksports a little differently afterwards

meh I read most of it and it seemed like he was talking more about race suspension than street cars. I dont doubt that there is inconsistent manufacturing or companies who mass produce for all these brands. I drive on my ksports every day...I dont have a problem with them personally. I havent had a shock blow in awhile. I wouldnt mind getting a higher quality product in the future if I really start having problems

one thing I would like to say though is...I've made alot of purchases when I was younger and less knowledgable and there's alot of stuff I bought because people on the org hyped the sh*t out of it. Now I approach everything with skepticism. I'm a little pissed you can get the ksports brand new for like 600 bucks now since thats the price of like normal fawking shocks and springs too...
