Rebulding 2 piece rotors with pics inside
Well my replacement rotors finally came in from Baer racing. These rotors are a 2 piece design meaning the hat is made out of alluminum which equals to saving some weight of the rotor. The rotor size is 13 inches and they are from a 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra. The first set of rotors that I had I warped (dont ask how) so I called Baer and the rotors are covered by lifetime warranty so they sent me a new set. I have to still reuse my hats from the first set. Well here are some pics of the work that is involved.

The removal of the hat is straight forward. All that has to be done is remove the 12 bolts that hold the hat. I am pleased with Baer though. They sent me everything that was needed to get the job done without having to call them and ask questions. The instructions are simple to understand and there was a diagram as well for the torque sequence when installing them hat.
Now please dot comment on teh last picture of the rotors. I know they are directional.
Enjoy and props to the people that followed through and made this part of the forum open.

why would you want them zinc plated? almost all of the rotor surface is in contact with the brake pads and would just wear off.
I'm also interested in the price on those rotors as well, to see where I am on my 2-pc setup vs. theirs.

Nice, I guess there really is no need for the zinc plating. Do you know how much these way with the hats installed?
Matt93SE: Do you happen to know the weight of a typical 13" Cobra Rotor?
Thanks!

He probably doesn't know as his kits don't utilize them

There's a VERY good reason for that. It's because the overhang is not even 1/3 that. I've sold probably 75+ sets. And I've read/heard/received next to none as for as fitment/usage issues.
I also see you guys like to avoid explaining how you "fixed" it.
