Couple weeks ago my axle snapped while i was driving to school. When i was driving, i heard this weird noise, then the ABS light comes on, then the rotors kept grinding on the caliper, and the car felt really sluggish. What was weird is that it didn't snap in the middle, it snapped on the outer end of the axle, where the 32mm or what ever that mm nut is and cotter pin located at, so i still made it to school. Go to school, and had the car towed to a local shop, The hub and wheel wearing are all messed up. Had the axle replaced, but not the hub or the bearing. After the axle was replaced and everything was put back together, the rotor would not spin. It was seized on to the caliper. They had to grind down the caliper in order for it to spin freely, and also get wider spacers between the bracket and calipers.


oo yeah these are the 300zx calipers with the cobra rotors.

After the brakes were fixed, the rotor still grinds on the caliper when i make left turns. I'm not sure what to do pretty bad.

I just bought a new 3z caliper and thinking of getting a new hub also tomorrow.

ahhh found out the problem. The hub and wheel bearing is shot.
