Issues with brembo/hawk combo

Hey guys, I just installed my brembo rotors and hawk pads yesterday, and they feel great.. only 2 things though...

1. The pads seem to have left a black streak where they sit on the rotors.. is that normal, and will it come off at a carwash or something?

2. When I bring the car to complete stop, sometimes i can hear squeaking just before it stops completely... about 20% of the time i stop... is there anything i can do to fix that problem?

You have to "beed" or "bed" them in, however you spell it. Go out when there is minimal traffic (preferably on a highway or open street with no cars) and do a few braking trips from about 40-5 and then accelerate and then brake hard again. repeat this process and do it at higher speeds as well, but NEVER COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, because the rotors will be heated and once you stop the pads will in a way "imprint" themselves and this can cause rotors to warp.

So do a few speed/brake runs and just cruise for a little while the brakes vent out and cool, then you should be good and have no squeaking/black marks

^^^ what he said.

Actually, if you look at the box the Hawk pads came in, it will have specific bedding instructions on the side....

How much squeaking are we talking about? Because with my RTP rotors/HPS pads I had a little squeaking for about a week and then it just went away, and comes back once in a while. So I would say that it is normal because of the material the pads are made of.
