Just like the title says, I have a nasty grinding noise in the front brakes. It's especially bad when I first get in the car and decreases as the brakes heat up, but it never goes away. So far, I took off the Hawk pads (still had PLENTY of pad left) and put on brand new Duralast pads (cheapos to see if the pads were the issue). The noise was still there albeit less than before. I then pulled off both rotors and inspected them. The right front had a weird spot in it so I replaced it with a junkyard OEM 6th gen rotor. Still making the noise. I've inspected the calipers for rubbing: nothing. I have PLENTY of clearance between the rims and rotors/calipers. Basically, I'm stumped. Any suggestions?

did you check to see if the dust shield is rubbing against the back of the caliper? Not unusual...

Unless it moved it shouldn't be but I'll double check it anyway. I had the same thought this morning when I woke up.
