Shims necessary?

On my Z32 / Cobra BBK setup are pad shims absolutely necessary? I just realized that those are the only parts that I dont already have. Local shops dont carry them and the Dealer wants ~$38 for the kit which includes pins and clips which I already have.

try it without. If you have some brake squeal problems, then you can buy a set of shims and drop them in.

many aftermarket pads come with their own shims.... look in the box and see what you've got.

I got the axiss semi metallic pads..no shims included. Thanks Matt I'll try that.
