A possibility for a "superior" SFC

I have been working on a set of chassis bracing to be far superior to anything previously offered by us at TMS or our competition. This thread is just here to gauge the interest in the production of these. The braces weigh a considerable amount more. Kinda a toss up between strength and weight when dealing with steel.

I can guarantee these to be superior in every aspect over any that have been released for the maxima community. And as so the price is going to be significantly higher for this type of brace. If there is enough interest then I will post some more indepth details. Until then I will not do to competition.

Thanks,

Sean

Nice, but how much extra weight are we talking?

Yeah, I think that for maxima drivers, the SFCs currently available are already enough, considering 99% of us don't have dedicated track maximas. The added weight for increased structural rigidity is nice, but for what most of us use our cars for, the current ones will suffice.

I applaud your efforts in trying to bring new products to the maxima community, but especially considering the price difference (just look at previous products: maxima owners are cheap!) and weight difference I don't think it will be a hot selling item...

I prob won't get them(since I have your first ones) but I have a few questions. How is the ground clearance and how much heavier(i know already asked...)

I could actually do be able to do one up with no loss to ground clearance... I know its a miracle.

The added mass will be sprung, and as close to the bottom of the car as you can get. I'd bet it'd be well worth it.

I think this hits the nail on the head. How many people gave lip service to wanting SFCs, but went it came time, they had to back down or hold off due to a lack of funds.

no interest here.....

for others, weight is already a concern for the standard SFCs, so I doubt many if any people will be interested in even more weight, even if it is on the low center of the car.

It attaches in 28 different points on the car, including wrapping around the bumpers and attaching to your helmet when autocrossing

I'd have to know more about them before I would be willing to comment to anything more than saying I'd like to hear more.

More info please.. And how much significant increase in price we are talking about? I was actually going to buy siderails from current group deal but if the next generation SFC is much better I might have to wait a little more.

I'm curious, since I already have the "regular" side rail SFCs, would this be the type of design that's an addendum to that e.g. cross bracing, or would I have to somehow remove the SFCs (good luck) that are currently on there?

If they can be added, I'm down. But I already have a 4-point lower tie bar (bottom of the front two strut towers attached braced against the frame). That's my guess as to what you're getting at and if so, I wouldn't need it.

Alright now that I have the stiff-arsed Eibachs on I need more chassis bracing. Hurry up and spill the beans man, or at least give some info as to what's so awesome about them...
