(A33) Lower Tie Bar Stage II Impressions
First thoughts... Simply Amazing...
-As I first drove around the car felt more secure, stable, controlled, stiff, and durable.
Cornering has improved drastically.
-I.E.= I can wait last second to make a turn and almost turn with no body roll/flexing.
Turning longer sweeps have become even more fun and sporty.
-I.E.= A long bend can now be even more accelerated throughout and the car stays planted with no feeling of lost grip.
Illuminas set at 4 in the front anything made it feel weak and fragile. Now with the LTB Stage 2 it feels completely unison and structured and most of all more secure.
-I.E.= Going over uneven pavement has improved to the point where you dont have to tense your whole body in anticipation of whats ahead. Its much more composed.
-Side note I had a noisy front passenger suspension in compression and it had gotten noiser more frequently after only being rare. Simply put once the LTB Stage 2 was installed the noise has pretty much been quieter if not silienced.

Now I understand that a Tie bar and a Sway are 2 different things but they function the same as far as tightening the suspension to the rear of the car correct? are there any advantages to using both a sway bar and a tie bar or?
You can buy a rear sway bar from Progress, Stillen, or a few other companies to stiffen up the rear end.
Lower tie bar goes on the bottom of the control arms on the front suspension to tie the lower end of the independent front end together more securely.
But both the RSB and LTB do essentially the same thing.
Similar result, different application.

OK, i understand, but if you have Stage I or Stage II (rather Stage II) for a 98 let me know as soon as you can.

To bad, but alas the demand for Maxima suspension parts is getting less every month. Who was your new fab guy? Last time if I recall your parents were running Blehmco for you?
Yeah, same deal as what you knew then... my step dad was doing the fab work and passed away last october. since then nobody else has any desire or technical expertise to do the work and sales have fallen through the floor since nobody is on the forum doing group deals and whatnot.
so we're selling off what we've got and when it's gone, it's gone. unless someone wants to buy the designs and IP from us, we're just going to mothball the jigs until I get tired of them sitting in the attic or need some scrap metal for another project.
