Strut mount confort?

I have a 5.5 Gen max and Im changing my struts this weekend.
I wanted to know if the strut mounts are'nt broken should I replace them? Do the mounts wear like a bushing? I would believe that if the mount is intact that is would preform as a new mount.
Does new mounts work better that old but intact mounts?

The upper mounts on the 4 and 5 gen have been known to die on a regular basis. My suggestion is to go ahead and replace them. They're kinda like timing belts and water pumps on the 3 gen Maximas-- a timing belt lasts 60k, water pumps usually last about 100k. so you might as well change the water pump every time you change the belt..

Dustboots would be beneficial to change. Strut bearings too - but if you get Moog mounts, they come with bearings.

Also, please stop posting simple 'strut mount' questions in the advanced chassis/suspension subforum. Your other thread was moved.
