A/F tuning?

Plus, I didn't want to spend $600 on an ECU and have to wait several months. I'd rather spend that same money on the Zemulator.

I've never cracked open a 4th gen's ECU. But I bet this technology could easily work also. It would take someone that is really serious about custom tuning their ECU. And plus, it wouldn't hurt if you were near the Daytona Beach, FL area since that is where Ash lives now. Not Atlanta anymore. He left z1motorsports in ATL and took the Zemulator rights with him. But for me, I was able to do all this stuff on the opposite side of the nation as Ash.

But, with him being in FL, it might make some things go faster. I know that I will meet him one day. We might get together and do some dyno tuning on my car. Who knows! But, I am really motivated to get this working.

I am going to call him in the next 10 days to see how his move is going. I can solder this daughterboard myself, but I'd rather have him do it. I probably need to come up with $150 to pay for this new daughterboard that I need to add.

Ok guys. I'm needing some help here. My A/F ratio has been around 14's and 15s at points and comes down as i get to higher rpm range. How much do u believe i could gain from getting a safc-II or something similar. Sorry this is kinda of a noob question as I have never messed with the a/f ratio much on a car. This is new to me
You have a 2K2 w/mods...they do that.
Only fix is TS ECU(may take a few tries), eManage, or at least a Walbro.
Best fix 350Z guys have found is to run a return line and FPR.

I agree, but as a "bandaid fix", the 350Z guys have installed ONLY the Walbro and it overpowers the bypass valve increasing fuel pressure to ~60psi IIRC.
Just a simple way to kill two birds with one stone, ie make sure there is adequate volume and provide a little additional pressure.

Just another data point. I have never detected any detonation boosting to 12 psi on a hot day, non-intercooled, heat soaked engine. That is exactly what I was looking for when I went with the JWT ecu and I am very happy with it. To me, JWT definitely does not suck.
Maybe I could make more power if I advanced the timing a bit. Trouble is you make the most power just before the engine burns up. I'd rather have something tried and true and reliable for my daily driver. It's a trade-off I'm willing to make.

JWT sucks.
JWT sucks.JWT rock, and does who have it can concurr, those who dont' will only speak of who inferior the product is.
Don't hate because you don't have anyone that can upgrade your ecu.
Hate ? I have a 93 G20 w/ SR20DET swap, T4 turbo, equal lenght custom manifold I build, and I run stock DE ECU on it with piggy backs. JWT makes a ECU for my car, but I don't see myself spending 600 bux on a ECU and waiting 2 months for it, and being stuck with what they think is right. My friend runs 10:1 A/F on his JWT tunned ECU. I had a JWT ECU on my 93 SE-R which was NA, it worked nicely, I had that same ECU programmed for 555cc injectors and Z32 MAF- this was bout 6 years ago... I think I know what I'm sayn here. If you can't tune then you get JWT. 6 years ago, there where no piggy backs, and HKS F-con was nearly unattainable for me. JUN used to charge 900 bux for a ECU tune, and it included dyno time and everything. But they are no longer here in US.
