Getting the 00VI on my 97

I have finally decided to go with the 00VI instead of the MEVI because I don't want to lose the low and mid range power. Also I'm not upgrading my ecu since it cost a lot. I've ordered just about every part to put a 00 VI on my 97 max and I can't wait till the parts get here , which should be in a couple of days, feels like its christmas or something lol. If there is anybody who can give me any hints to help me out on the install of the 00VI please post otherwise wish me luck.

Swapping a VI for a MEVI seems like alot of work compared to buying an ECU. I've seen TS ECu's on here for only $300. Good luck anyway!

Yes...........

I agree with Bejay. The MEVI is mcuh easier to install than the 00VI. Adding the ECU brings all that lost power back and things are back to better than normal.

Good luck with it.

Congrats. It's one of the best mod's i've done to my car. Yes even over the y-pipe.

BEJAY1: The 00VI paired with an ECU upgrade would be phenominal. You get the low end the ECU offers, ON TOP of the low end that is still there.

I know the MEVI+ecu is easier to install than the 00VI, but the 00VI is cheaper than the MEVI+ecu combo. Thats why I choose the 00VI.
