Making NA history March 11th

well it is my first attempt anyway. March 11th, with Ben's help, will be the first running of my stripped/all track 4th gen.
Here is a quick rundown of all mods.
ACT stage 1 or whatever they call it clutch.
Custon ram air intake with POP charger and oversived K&N filter.
Budget Y pipe.
Straight 3" exhaust dumping into axle compartment.
RVM UDP
Racing fuel cell (most likely won't be in by the 11th)
26" MT slicks.
EXTREME weight reduction.

I have several goals. My first is to be the first 4th gen in the 13's with stock ECU.
Second, to be the fastest NA 3.0 4th gen.
Last to be the fastest NA 4th gen.

Not trying to call anyone out, but competition breeds progress.

I don't think you have anything to worry about there. After Ben and I did the first round of weight reduction we took the car out and it was pretty nasty. I am looking for a high 13 the first time out to tell you the truth.

I think you should have waited until after March 11th to make this post. Also whats the actual weight, or have you even had it on the scales?

So let me ask you, why would you put a 3" exhaust on an NA?

Seems like you're just relying on stripping the car to make it fast. 3" won't be helping, and it must be annoyingly loud. Do i smell a CRX/Maxima?
Have you weighed the car? What altitude/track will you be running at?

Don't drag the body in the trunk before it's killed... or something like that.

What's the point of racing with a family sedan unless it's for the sleeper kick? I suggest you follow the examples of krismax and japmax, where wild weight reduction and lots of power coexist with full interiors...

The car was totaled with very light frontend damage. It is just a toy now.

No cat at all, and after I measured this ss pipe I noticed it is only 2.75" It is only going to be 3' long or so.

Good. But a very short 3" exhaust will have no exhaust velocity. You might be able to get away with this if you ONLY run in a very high rpm range (where a 3" shortie exhaust "might" resonate) but I highly doubt it. I hope you don't bog anywhere on the launch or shifts.

I do wish you luck on the 11th. Let us know how it works out either way.

Thanks man, I hope I can get everything together by the 11th. I will be running slicks so I will be launching off the rev limiter, and power shifting.

I wish you luck with your runs. The other goals are definately up for grabs, but the one highlighted above has already been accomplished.

Really? by you?
Sorry, I thought you ran all your 13's with a JWT ECU.
I did not mean to misspeak.

My first 13 was with stock ecu. I ran a 13.999 on slicks. After that the season ended and the next spring I had ECU so I never ran with stock ECU again. It was barely a 13, I cut it as close as you can hehe.

Wow, 4th gens just keep getting crazier all the time!
I believe the first goal is void, as it's been done before.
The second and third goals may be quite difficult, given your limited power mods. Possibly quickest 3.0 4th gen, but others with more power will most likely be faster.

Well I never said I was not going to add any more power mods. I have a set of heads that I am about to start working on, and I am also looking for a good deal on a 00VI. You are right about the one goal being void. I will alter that to "fastest 3.0 with stock ECU" As for others having more power, this is very true. The 3.5 has more potential. I am counting on the power to weight ratio being on my side. If someone comes along with a race trim 3.5 then so be it. As I said, competition breeds progress.

yeah well, I am just trying to make myself feel important.
Honestly when 3.5's started to show up in 4th gens it formed different categories. I don't want to be put up against them just yet.
