Will 3.0 lower IM bolt up to 3.5 heads?

In the future I plan on swapping in a 3.5 bottom end. I know everyone says to do the whole 3.5 but I don't trust myself enough for all that electrical stuff. With that being the case I want to know if the 3.0 lower IM will bolt up to the 3.5 heads? I know Tilley originally used the heads of the 3.0 but I'd prefer to keep most of the 3.5 motor together. Is what I'm thinking conceivable?

What electrical stuff? Unless your'e doing the 3.5 engine harness and ECU, the full 3.5 w/ 3.0 ECU is easier than you think.

PM Krismax. He has the 3.0 lower and 00VI on his 3.5

Can you expand on this? How does the 3.0 ecu control the vtcs?

I'm not using the VTC's. By full 3.5 i'm going with 3.5 block, heads, and cams.

I want to use the 3.5 block, heads, and cams also but I want to use the MEVI instead of the 5th gen. So I need the 4th gen Lower intake manifold to bolt up to the rest of the 5th gen. And yes I did mean ECU harness and all that jazz.

I've had the MEVI for a year now so for now it's just easier, plus I just got it extrude honed so I figured I'd hold onto it for awhile. But when I finally am ready for the 3.5 I might put the 00VI on.
