The only difference with japmax's engine was that he has a MEVI tuned with safcII instead of a full 3.5. He still shreaded the hell outta it though.

The thing is that the 3.5 has so much Tq even with the tranny cooler it won't save crap. 3 days after the swap the thing started to slip like crazy. This time while I'm doing the 5spd swap I'll make sure it's built strong because I'm going to throw alot of power to it.

This is the one thing I didnt want to hear. How bad did you rag it out to make the tranny slip. Would you say daily commute would kill it?

Ok a 3.5 stock in a 4thgen won't hurt an AT, sorry but I had to say this because I think everyone is getting discouraged about the whole idea. When you start moding it and start putting out more, then your going to have prob like I did 3 days after 2nd was gone >>(TQ).

Don't ask me what I've done because I'm not saying anything untill I take it to the DYNO.

Is this about the tranny 4 vs 5.5g? They're essentially the same. They do indeed have a different code to them and the F/D is different, but mechanically strengthened,

see, thats what im talking about. I would love to be at the track, and just have the tires scream into 2nd from an automatic. Forget chirping the tires. i'd still be worried though about the tranny, just because knowing my luck, im sure something would f up, and i'd be without a car waiting to have the tranny fixed. oh well, someone has to be a pioneer about it.
