Is It Worth it ??

Is it WORTH it ??

Ok...now heres the decision...To put on a 00V1 matched up to a 4th Gen lower manfold when I do my injectors in a week or two??

I wanna do it all at once but I dont know if all the custom work is worth it..

What do you guys think. does alot of your midrange and lower power come back with the 00VI...Noticable for the price

What is all intailed to do this mod ?

anything is appreciated

Very worth it. I really enjoy being able to make power all the way to redline rather than peter off in the higher RPMs. I paid very little for the VI and adapters though as a fellow Iowan helped me out. The way we did it was to use just the DEK upper IM, flip the DE lower IM and re-drill the mounting holes on the upper IM. Then, adapter plates were made to use the 4th gen TB and IACV. The difficult part is figuring out the vaccum hoses.

.............I wouldn't say it's worth it if you have the MEVI already. Blu told me that Stephen did a dyno of when he had the MEVI and one with the 00VI, did an overlay of both and the dyno didn't show much gain for the 00VI over the MEVI. I want to see that dyno. I've been looking for it but I can't find it.

You'd get some cash back if someone bought your MEVI but it seems that if would be hard to sell now a days with everyone wanting the 00VI over the MEVI. I could be wrong though.

Au contraire. The 00VI gave 14 lb-ft of torque over the MEVI (20 lb-ft comparing uncorrected numbers). It is a very worthwhile mod.

00VI dynos are bookmarked in the "Links to Threads with Important Information" sticky.

Damn Blu misinforming me or I must have misunderstood him. My bad but should have taken into consideration that you guys are boosted. You'll see more of a change than I will.

I think there will always be a market for the MEVI, since it is a direct bolt-on. The 00VI is quite a bit more complicated to install.
