4th gen knock sensor on VQ35!
Well both of my Knock sensors were bad (1995 KS was throwing and code, and so was the 2k2 KS). So I bought a brand new 1995-1999 KS from pinnacle Nissan last week.
I put the 4th gen knock sensor on my VQ35 yesterday. I did NOT feel the difference right away. Even unplugging the battery didn't do it. But when I woke up today, I took it for a ride.
The first two gears are downright scary. I mean VQ35/headers/no power steering/enormous wheel gap-stock suspension-huge shock travel/need alignment badly/mega giganto torque steer scary.

Yeah I know. I already have the springs (2.0" lower in front) but I want Tokico Illuminas and I'm broke.
The wheel gap is really awful. Rear, not bad. But front oh my. Even worst than the usual 4x4 maxima look. I have stock SE springs but I've removed +100 lbs on the front end. I have NO suspension mods whatsoever. Stock sawblades with 215/60/15 Yokohamas. Installing the RSB/Lowering/Alignment/and installing Illuminas would probably greatly help.
There was a green civic following me at some point doing some tailgating at low speeds. When I floored it I was all over the place and looked like a f*cking maniac.

Mine was definately bad. Dealer said it might be corrosion on the base but I had already bought it so I just threw it on. 79$ is cheap. At least I know for sure this one isn't bad.
I will check my codes again once I get the IACV/idle issue ironed out.

They are made for the 3.0 but can be put on the 3.5L with small modifications.
