I thought it was a "very small" gain with the 200 rpm?

This was 2 years ago when I ran the tests, but the gain was on the order of .1 and about .75mph if my memory serves me. The additional gain, from 7200 to 7500rpm, was negligable, something like .03 seconds, so I elected not to go for 7500. Keep in mind this was before anyone had done 7200rpm limiter so I was exploring options. I was the first to order the 7200rpm limiter, they didn't give me any BS about a waiver or anything back then. Ben just said "ok" heh.

You need Cartest Icy... I can send it to you if you want it. It's pretty big though, like 22mb for the program and all my data files. Honestly I'm surprised you don't have it being a numbers guy

Very last post ... Diff of about 2' or so ... .03 -- .05 though this was just with the software.. And you have the hard results ...

I got the extra 200 b/c I have an auto andn the shifts sometimes lag so I, like you, didn't want to bang on the limiter.

Have an old version 2000 IIRC, but not the pay version.

Honestly, I was turned off by the GUI and the learning curve with my short patience wasn't working.

Hmm maybe I am getting senile in my old age lol. I swear I remember there being a more significant difference than that, maybe I am just stupid though. I will test it on cartest when I get home.

Icy I have 2000 also.

I did just calculate the difference .04 seconds makes at 100mph though, its about 5' 10" not 2' as I stated back then lol. Good kill on digging up my thread and showing me contradicting myself though hahaha.

You might be remember taht the 7.2 vs the 6.5k was the kicker, I found that post as well, went down .6 and gained 4-5 mph ... it was also in the search i pulled up ...

I myself was thinking my mind was escaping, so I had to prove to myself ...

BTW, Cartest been looking at a few models on the org where the 5A transmission was modeled into a 4 and 5g ...

Yeah cartest is very powerful. The key to an accurate simulation is taking into account as many variables as possible. That's why those crappy 1/4 mile time calculators on the internet don't work worth a damn because they just use your horsepower and weight. But cartest takes hundreds of variables into account and can come up with pretty accurate simulations, as based on the fact that I've got my car (and other people's cars) modeled with great accuracy, not just for the 1/4 mile and trap speed, but all the numbers leading up to those as well. (330, 660, 1000, etc)

Well i called JWT today and told Ben i want 7200rpm..... I will have it doesn't mean i will rev it that high but it will be there if i need it. I think i will keep it at 7000rpm max. Neal do you have Requin6's 200whp MEVI/JWT ecu dyno runfile?

Those are the numbers I used initially for modeling mevi/jwt and then when I got my own dyno I fine tuned the model further with actual 7200rpm info rather than extrapolating from requin6's.
