I'm using the Dawes devices solenoid, and the NAPA vac can and Summit RPM switch ... I love doing 90+mph in second (auto)

Manifold Absolute Pressure swtich, read the MEVI FAQ:s and get aquianted with the terminology, EXACTLY how it works, and the .orgers different ways of setting it up .. i.e using a relay or not ...
PM me for some details.

Use the 00VI, and call it a day. It's very easy, grinding the coil mounts down with a file takes 5 minutes. Look at the area underneath the curve between the two manifolds, and think about the 400-600 you will spend on an ecu to get the rev limiter and get your low-mid power back. Dont be afraid to try something because it involves a little work

Downtime...one weekend AT THE MOST. That's if you take breaks, naps, get drunk, high, play a game or two of Madden 06, and make time for meals. Taking the USIM off and putting the VI on is easy. The hardest part of the install is figuring out the vacuum lines. And then if you search, you can look at other peoples' threads about installing the VI coughMEcough. You could easily have this done in an afternoon. Ask for help from some Florida ORG members. Kevlo911, I know there is another. Dont sell yourself short

i told you to look at this already, but since you apparently havent, scope it out. its not always about peak numbers when it comes to a dyno

*HINT*
I just found a way for the MEVI owners to get more power through out the whole power range over the 00VI
With a liltle tinkering there is no way you can improve the design of the 00VI Well me and my buddies couldn't, because, IT"S PLASTIC!
Anywho I don't have any real Dyno #'s to compare to but my butt dyno tells me it Kicks both 00VI and the crappy 02+VI
I'm going to be like SR20DEN and call this my SECERET SAUCE MANIFOLD HMM HMM OH HA HA HA . Only because I can sorry.......
Just be on the look out for the record.....

Then I got to make sure it holds up. Drive it around for awhile and see if there's any more room for improvement.
My suggestion to you is get the 00VI it's the best of the bunch unmoded. A little more work but like everyone here says it's not all that bad a few hours and your done the vaccum lines is what your going to need help on and maybe TB and stuff everything else is cake. If my SSIM goes through it won't be cheap $$$$$$$
when we did the 00VI on my car the vacuum lines wasnt really a concern, more figuring out the pcv valve problem, we just placed the vacuums the way they were back on the regular manifold...
But this doesnt hold true for 96+ maximas that have that EVAP thing all over the place there... mine was alot simpler I believe.

is this true? it makes sense that you wont have to grind the coil bosses anymore but will this bolt on to the engine with no fabrication and will the coil packs still bolt on? seems like a good way to go if it works and ive read alot of 00vi threads and never encountered anyone taking this path.
