It's in... without the built tranny.
I got to Tilleys shop Friday night around 7:00ish. We started working on the car and him and another buddy were helping him, and dropped the engine and trans in a little under 2 hours. Next morning we get the engine, and trans together (the rebuilt stronger trans from Maximum Tuning) everything is in and running (the VQ35 with with the built trans) but the shifter linkage for the trans is EXTREMELY hard to shift, so much so that it would not shift at all. Well we decided to use my original trans, since the rebuilt trans was not going to be tampered with for fear of voiding the warranty. Next morning the new trans is in and she's running like a champ. It's a VQ35 with a VI with no divider, up top it feels really good but down low and in the mid range I feel that it can def. be more powerful. Like I can spin first real easily from a stop, but I can't really spin second, maybe it's because of my 18's, and heavy subs, or maybe the smaller TB. Well Rob and I decided to put the divider back in, and use the PF .70MM TB. All that's left is getting that tranny fixed, getting the SAFC II in, the Fuel Pump in, and the headers in. And I should be good to go. BTW, I'm very upset with Maximum Tuning they wasted a lot of my time and $, I had to be 200 miles away from home more than was needed, and Rob had to swap trannies TWICE! I can't believe they would sell me a tranny without checking to make sure everything is working.
