connecting a 2000 iacv to a 4th gen

Just wondering how this is possible. The 4th gen IACV has 4 connectors going into it. I guess only 1 is for the actual valve. what are the other 3 for? and where does the 2000 IACV get its air from? I dont see any place for a hose to connect. I see to small lines but those look like coolant lines for the throttle body. Sorry if im missing something obvious but I am just wondering what needs to be done if i want to used this with my 00vi. I guess my main concerns is where the 2000 IACV gets air from and if I dont use the 4th gen IACV what are the 3 other connectors for. thanks!

The 5th gen IACV gets it air from the bottom of the 5th gen throttle body so it would be difficult to use without the 5th gen tb. A guy got it to work somehow but your better off using the 4th gen iacv. Heres the thread:

bump? wheres that writeup?

took a look at that thread but it doesnt explain what the other connectors on the 4th gen IACV are for.

ah air from the bottom of the TB.. tricky tricky. I guess all I am concerened about now are the other connectors on the 4th gen IACV since they have nowhere to go on the 5th gen IACV.

The 4th gen IACV has three controlled devices. The main one is a stepper motor that controls idle speed. There are also two solenoids that open when the AC is turned on and when the power steering loads the engine.

Apparently the 5th gen IACV combines the PS and AC solenoids with the stepper motor.
