For all of you guys with SAFCII, what does the knock signal correction do? I had mine for quite some time but only til recently did I hook up my knock signal.
what are ur readings for the knock level? I have no idea what numbers I should be getting or if they are good or bad but here are some of my numbers: Today: high temp was mid 90s
Startups idle: 0
after driving for about hr or more:
-when idle reading goes from 10-46
-when driving the reading goes down...
-46 was the highest i got only in the mid afternoons with ac on.

In my settings, my RPM1 is 31 @1600 and RPM2 39@3350.
anyone have a clue?

The process of the settings is just to kinda calibrate it.

Mine seems to be fairly reliable. You really shouldn't get anything above 10 at idle. I get 4-6 at idle if the car is heat soaked and it is hot outside.

I would not be concerned about anything below 50. I have seen as high as 250, but still not heard any knock.

I know mine works because it I get an increased reading when I should be, ie; more boost on stock timing, hot weather, running leaner.

When temps change through the seasons you should recalibrate the SAFC knock feature.

From all I have learned the knock sensor function on the SAFCII does not work properly on an OBDII vehicle. It does give a reading but its meaningless.

Mine just keeps getting higher and higher the longer I drive, it does vary but the maximum reading just keeps going up.

The info about the OBDII vs OBDI I got from a DSM site.

hmmm....mine doesn't to that at all. On a very hot day in stop in go traffic I can see it rise from like 2-3 to 15-20 as I get into the throttle. Anything below 75 degrees I hardly ever get a reading. Mine definately responds how one would think it would if small amounts of knock were present.

This is why I keep telling everyone to not waste their time connecting it.

Mine just reads zero the whole time.

I know mine works. I get logical reading in conditions that would cause some knock but I also get a steady 0 in conditions that would not. I could easily see an NA car that does not have heat issues gettting a reading of 0 most of the time.

I just got it installed today, cool thing yet I do not know much of how to set it to optimal settings. Guess I have to wait till I dyno tune. I highly doubt that you guys who are always at 0 have the knock feature installed. Mine ranges from 0-12. At idle with A/C on it can be 7-10. Driving usually is between 0-3.
