Leavin NA section for awhile

Well I finally got my boosted 99 running. 505cc inj, JWT ecu, Z32 maf, 6spd, vq30, oovi, 2k2tb, front mount, and all the other goods. Im running 12 psi right now and this thing will tear the **** out of the allmotor car even while fully loaded with leather and 18s. I will be hitting the track on the 24th at maple grove raceway in PA. I will have both cars there NA and boosted. Anyone else wanna go?

Im on a boost kick.....

Rob I'll go with you to the track if I can get my car dyno tuned with the SAFC by the 24th.

I'm really thinking of FI right now too, who makes S/C or T/C kits for our cars?

Rob what did you install Turbo or SC

with 12psi sounds like a Vortech V-1 with a 2.87" or maybe a V-2 (intercooled)

275's are far too big for that car and hurt the handling & ride characteristics. Run a DR if you can't handle the wheelspin that way you can retain some handling and comfort.

The DET parts arent in this. Its a stock internal vq30de. The 275s are temporary they were the only set of wheels i had that have good tread at the moment. Im redoing my IC piping this week then i will have pics, its real ugly at the moment...

I second the DR idea. Running DR's on the street should help you. BFG makes a 225/50/15 size that would be too small for you, but they also make a 235/60/15 size that I think would be perfect. Fat sidewall and great width.

I'm surprised you don't buy new pistons and lower compression? Did you ever end up trying out the VQ35 heads and intake manifolds?

Well he already has the 00 VI on there which flows better than the 2k2 IM, so I doubt he's gonna do that. I assume he will worry about lower comp pistons etc when this engine bites the dust

Well I had just remembered that he was speculating that putting on the 3.5 heads and manifolds would lower compression on its own so I was wondering if he had gone that route.

3.5 heads- maybe. The manifold sure won't lower the comp

I know the manifolds wouldn't lower it but when you put on the heads you have no choice but to put on the manifold, correct?

The VQ30DE and DE-K lower intake manifold will bolt right up to the VQ35 heads, but there is a mismatch in the shape of the ports. Not enough to cause an intake leak, though.

Krismax is running a VQ30 LIM on VQ35 heads.

Ooo...I'm going to have to come up one day when I don't work at the part time job for my boost ride (which I missed a few years ago). I'll see if I work that weekend or not and if I don't, I'm going to the track w/ you.

Oh...and when's this philly meet?
