Ok, so I have one more question about this thing. My intake finally got here today and after looking at it I do have one question. There's an almost football shaped port close to the throttle body on the underside of the intake. What goes there?

Thats what I was thinking it was, as I saw no other place to mount the EGR. Other than the device to activate the VAIS, and the new EGR tube, are there any other parts I will need before I get knee-deep in the installation?

You can drill the LIM. You can use the 4th gen fuel injectors and rail. You can just get an egr delete plate. You can adjust the idle manually instead of using the IACV with the screw on the TB. You can grind down the back driverside coil pack boss and the one beside it instead of getting new valve covers.
This is just if your a cheapass like me.

Yeah, thats what I had intended on doing. I got a complete upper off eBay for $260 that included the TB, IACV, and a functional VIAS. I'm just trying to track down all the other parts that I'm gunna need for a smooth installation. The local Nissan dealer has the 00 EGR tube for $40 or something like that, and as far as I know that should be the only other part that I need as long as I can figure out where all those damn vacuum lines go.

Sweet let me know how it goes.
Paint and wheels comming soon
Maybe a month or two and my 5speed swap comes too. If paint doesnt get done, it might be a SC/5speed swap or VQ35/5speed swap

Well, I ordered the bolts and the EGR tube today. We'll see if it all comes in as planned....on a side note I'm going to run at our only 1/4 mile track on the 14th to see how it does on motor/nitrous, which should be interesting as well.

My ast question is concerning the hybridization of the 00 IACV and TPS onto my 99. Are the plug-ins the same? I mean, the TPS won't matter as much since I have to use my 99 unit anyway, but what about the IACV? Same plug?

Cool, thats one less thing to have to get concerned about. I went to the Nissan dealer today to pick up my bolts and EGR tube and they ordered me the wrong tube, so I'm considering putting the intake on and just plugging the EGR off until they can get it in....not the greatest thing to do, but I won't have another weekend to put it on for awhile, so...

well, as it turns out, the tube that she quoted me the proce for at the dealer that was $40 was the wrong tube, hence my question. The right tube was $18 and that sounded reasonable enough, but would I have any drivability problems if I install the intake and just delete the EGR until the tube comes in?

I started the installation today, and about 9 hours later I'm still not finished, but this is just day one. I'll have some pics to post tomorrow. Other than having a time with the two bolts on the ends, it wasn't all that bad. The only thing that sucked was having to cut out the vacuum/fuel branch thats under the TB. With the IACV on there it wouldn't clear the branch and I couldn't move it, so I took it out. I'll have pics to explain all this later

Ok, somebody lend me an idea here...
I got the intake put on today, got all the vacuum lines, fuel lines, and coolant lines hooked up and in the right places. No vacuum leaks that I know of, but the car idles up and down, even at operating temperature. I used the 5th gen TB, IACV, disconnected the 99 EGR guide tube. I'm not sure if the modification I did to the 4th gen harness worked using the 5th gen IACV, but it seems to be working just fine. Any ideas? Also, if you rev it to about 3000 it acts normal, but if you go higher than that, it comes back to idle very very very slowly, like the TB is stuck.

Well I noticed when I fixed a broken hose on the egr-bpt valve (looks like a UFO) which connects to the egr-valve it corrected my idle problem. Before the idle would jump around after I let off the gas, then it would finally settle down around 600 rpms. Sometimes it would flux so much the car would die, so maybe the egr not being connected is messing up your idle. Or you might have the 4th gen IACV harness in the wrong way, you cand try flip it around (if you know what I mean by that).

I thought about the EGR valve and IACV. The TPS could be out of adjustment too. I figured if I left the EGR connected I could just cut the tube to the intake and not cause any idling problems. I hope the 5th gen IACV works with the 4th plug, but that will ahve to wait til tomorrow

The idle isn't consistent but never flucuates more than 75RPM either direction. That's mainly due to my non-functioning IACV
