Good site, but there's conflicting opinions re:RWD VQ35 blocks vs FWD VQ35's

You would just have to tell them to use a FWD block or have custom mounts. You could always buy a blown FWD VQ35 and ship it to save the core charge.

Cool, I think I might just buy a 2002 motor and ship the whole thing away and get a long block(next years project:bigger boost).

Careful. Not sure if that is the same kyle as in the thread I'm about to link, but it sounds like it might be.

That page you posted shows a dude named kyle who used to work for SGP. The thread I just posted is about a guy named kyle who used to work at SGP. I don't know anything about the situation, but I make it a point to avoid business with people around whom there is controversy, proven or alleged.

Nealoc187,

Understood completely but remember that is all "Alleged" and I have a pending Lawsuit against SGP. So the courts will find out who is right and who is wrong. Unfortunately with the pending lawsuit I can not give my side of the story at this time.

Long block = engine complete * tranny etc etc etc *
Short Block = Block only

uhhh, dont listen to him, a long block doesnt include the tranny. short block usually has pistons and some of that, long usually has the heads too, sometimes an IM and oil pump and some other stuff

Now you see where i put * tranny etc etc etc * right?
I dont know where you come from, but around my way a long block usually means its ready to dropped in and driven..may include the tranny also if the seller feels like it.

uhhh, the tranny is not part of the long block. sorry. its the tranny, nothing to do with engine. if somebody gives it to you with the engine then ok, but its not part of the long block.
