Servicing camshaft and exhaust camshaft sprockets?
Do the exhaust camshaft sprockets ever need servicing, or even the sprockets for the camshafts. I am getting a noise that is simliar to the injectors when you listen to them thru a screw driver. but this sound is louder and higher pitch, you can hear it standing away from the car a few feet. I thought it might be the belt tensioner pulley but when i put my ear close to down there i hear it more coming from the front of the timing cover pretty much where the LH sprockets(either exhaust or camshaft sprocket) would be. the rate at which the ticking sounds is about the same rate as what the injectors sound just at different timing. Anyone ever came across the same sound? the car performs great nothing has changed, just the damn noise that annoys me. I did oil change this weekend that passed but i dont see how that would cause the sound.

Negative my auto-driver friend. The only timing-equipment related thing that ever needs to be changed is the timin chain tensioner. Which is not even scheduled maintenace, its as-needed. Maybe your tensioner is bad, therefore causin the chain to have unwanted slack. Someone else shime in and share ideas please
