VQ35 Oil cooler
What needs to be done in order to use the stock oil cooler that came with the 3.5 in my 95? I just took it off when I did the swap, so the oil filter is directly onto the block.

It just has coolant running through it. You could probably use the VQ35 thermostat housing to get the water feed since it has the 1/4" or so outlet there. Then you'd need to get the water back into the stream at some point. Make sure you tap it in the right place with respect to the direction of coolant flow though.

What is the coolant flow direction on the 3.5? On the oil cooler, one line comes from the back of the block, the other was a rubber line that is cut on my engine. The one from the back, is that input or output? If you used the 3.5 thermostat housing, that would be your other port if the direction was right. I am interested in this also.

Yeah, I just checked too. Instead of the 3.0 thermostat and housing, use the one from the 3.5 and run the line from the oil cooler to the nipple on the housing. That way you can keep the 3.5 oil cooler.
