Question about plenum

Is there a spacer on the market for more horsepower? I was looking and I didn't find anything. I know that the plenum for the z works, what about the maxima?

The gains seen in the case of the Z33 spacer is because the front 2cyls are somewhat 'starved' for air. In the case of the A33B IM, this is not the case since they differ (clamshell vs tubular plenum)

How? It wouldn't be making the IM any taller...

would make it taller, hence: spacer.

Depends on where the spacer would go.

The A33B/A34 IM has 3 different pieces....Upper collector, lower collector and intake manifold, which we typically refer to as the LIM.

wasn't there some talk about a gasket that would absorb less heat and therefore allow cooler air to flow though the IM? seemed like it would make such a trivial difference that the part wasn't even made. the only IM mod i had heard about for the Max.

Yes, that would be a phenolic type spacer. The concept between the Z spacer and phenolic is not the same.

Finally, some intelligence in here.

I was talking about a spacer between the upper intake manifold and the "elbow". This would NOT make it taller.
